At the last #NoKings rally (or whatever we were calling it -- I think this will be the fourth large/broad protest event I've gone to), most of the opposition showed up as drive-bys. Their slogans are frankly kind of incoherent and ineffectual.

Lots of leftover Trump campaign flags. One woman shouted "Save the white people!" out her car window (well, no pretense there, I guess). The largest counter protest I saw was at the Hands Off event, much earlier -- less than a dozen versus 300+ in the Hands Off crowd. Since then, they've gradually gotten more timid and less enthused.

MAGA is looking smaller all the time.

I think the funniest were the people playing "Ice Ice Baby" on their car radio, I guess in support of ICE?

But you know, I hear "Let's ice I.C.E., Baby", and I'm frankly in support of that plan!

ALSO... here in "deep red" Texas? For every MAGA in a pickup truck, there were at least three people honking and waving in support, sometimes flying Mexican or Mexican-American flags. I get it -- those people didn't feel safe enough to be in the protest, but the support is nice.
