Eine Woche lang nur ein Album hören, so wie als Jugendlicher, wo Geld knapp aber Zeit üppig war. Vergangene Woche lief hier bevorzugt »Loopified«, das Debüt-Album von Dirty Loops aus Schweden, erschienen bereits 2014 (und auch fast so lange in meinem CD-Regal). Drauf ist etwa eine Stunde gut gelauntes Jazz-Fusion-Rock-Soul-Funk-Feuerwerk eines Trios, wo jeder einzelne der beste Musiker der Band ist. I fricking LOVE that flute solo! 🤩 A YouTube comment summed it up perfectly: "this is what happens when every member of the band is the best person in the band".

Es war eine absolut wahnsinnige Idee, eine Band wie Dirty Loops fürs Euroblast Festival zu buchen. Einer Halle voller Metalheads _solche_ Musik vorzusetzen, hätte krass schief gehen können… und das Gegenteil ist passiert, so ekstatisch hab ich die Crowd hier noch nie erlebt, alle tanzen, headbangen und/oder stehen ungläubig da. Beste, was gute Musik so machen kann <3
