1.741 „informierte“ Einwilligungen mit einem Klick?! Beschwerde gegen dict.cc

It's frustrating to me that the closest thing we have to a collaborative and free open-source #dictionary is #dictcc. At first glance it gives off "open vibes", labels itself as similar in spirit to #Wikipedia and even demands that application that want to use its dataset are under GPL.
But it itself and its dataset is actually proprietary – you can download the dataset, but you're not allowed to redistribute it in any way. You even have to enter your email address which will be coded into the dataset to identify you if you redistribute it???

So dict.cc falls through as free and open dictionary. And as far as I know there's nothing open out there that's even close to dict.cc's size. Also, I'd like to contribute, but I really don't want to put my work into a project that's not open and could be enshittified at any point if the owner decides so. I'd love to see a project for dictionaries that's actually in the same spirit and concept as Wikipedia and #OpenStreetMap.
