If anyone is still running #debian12 on a machine with software RAID, be advised about a problem with upgrading to #debian13 – yesterday it made my home server unbootable and I found the reason to be grub not detecting my RAID1 metadevice. A workaround is described here: gist.github.com/yorickdowne/3c (thanks, Yorick!); fixing my server involved booting from USB and doing apt install --reinstall mdadm while chrooted to my original root FS.
