Ake was most definitely an indoor person in his life, before the transformation and exposure to the dimension of whatever deity the players aligned him to. Even as The Lich he still prefers to remain within the sunken city but given the global nature of the story he ends up traveling a lot.

Weather and natural disasters play a role in the story and setting of #DarkLens. The idea was that certain climatological disasters were tied to key moments in the sunken city off the coast of Harwell, RI and helped to shape the town as a shell of weirdness that figured into the cosmic battle.
Recurring, persistent fog and rain was another key feature of the town.

Mika tends to fluctuate between clean and messy in her apartment, more like moving things around than ever truly cleaning, especially when it comes to her books and papers for her museum job. She hasn't sat at her dining table to eat in a couple of years. No room, just books.
