CW: Hund krank
Mit #Ricowauzi 🐶 geht es Stück für Stück wieder aufwärts. Gestern hat er sich viel ausgeruht and war gelegentlich mal draußen. Heute Früh kam um 6 Uhr wedelnd ans Bett und weckte mich. Er war dann kurz draußen pieschern. Um 7 bekam er sein Herzmedikament in einem kleinen Stück Wurst und schlief dann wieder bis kurz vor 8, wo er eine kleine Portion Futter und Antibiotika bekam. Dann war er eine Runde auf der Koppel. Jetzt schläft er wieder. #Dachshund #dogsofmastodon

I cancelled the DogTV subscription today.
I bought it for Juliette. She watched the live stream properly, lying down and looking straight at the screen, and she reacted to the sounds in the Stimulation programme. When I had to leave the flat for a long time I put Relaxation on so she would not be alone in the silence. Ellie has never looked at it once. She just ignored it all the time.
The form asked me to pick a reason. Price too high, Content not interesting, No time to watch, and other irrelevant reasons.
I picked just "Other" and wrote this."Your streaming is not working on Rainbow, unfortunately"
Because it is the real reason, actually.
It is paid until 1 January 2027. Maybe I'll watch it until this date, just as part of the grieving path.

Wenig von mir die letzten Tage. #Ricowauzi geht es nicht gut. Die letzten Tage ging er immer bei Fuß, was er sonst eher selten machte. Fressen und Stuhlgang war normal. Gestern nur sehr kurze #Hunderunde. Abends dann apatisches Verhalten, instabiles Laufen und kaum Appetit. Wir waren heute beim Tierarzt und er bekommt jetzt Antibiotika, Herztabletten und Schmerzmittel. Wir hoffen und müssen schauen, ob Besserung eintritt. Er ist heute 16 Jahre und 16 Tage. 🙏🏻🥺

It is the parcel from the pet crematorium.
I had never noticed that sentence before. It is just a template, and millions of people get the exact same text about sneakers and phone cases.
But it means something else to me.
My Juliette will be with me soon.
This time, forever.I never wanted a parcel like this.
I wanted her alive, meeting me at the door and pushing her wet nose into me every time I come home.But this one I need.
