Made it to the operations centre on The Key. But then nothing happens. The narrative doesn’t progress. The game is just stuck, even after restarting the whole console and trying every variation of the end-run.

Once and for all for Universe Nine… kinda wish some decisions would ripple through the multiverse, like, destroying the Crimson Fleet in one universe demoralizes them in every other universe, and then in at least some they self-destruct without the need for further intervention. I honestly can’t believe I pulled it off. Infiltrated a secret UC military installation. Remained undetected. Adopted an assumed identity with basic authorization. Upgraded my own security clearances. Talked my way into test pilot status. Made off with a prototype starship. All without firing a single shot, blowing my cover, or throwing my accomplices under the bus.

It doesn’t matter that Commander Ikabe is a cowardly bootlicking sycophant, unworthy of command, who fobs off the blame for the orders he gives to his subordinates the second he catches fire over them from image-obsessed politicians with their heads so far up their own asses they’ve lost the stomach for the realities of covert and clandestine operations. He’s no Vae Victis, that’s for damn sure.

I’m gonna suck it up. Play by his rules. Even though I’d much rather grind SysDef into dust and bring that shitstain hypocrite to his knees again.

For one reason and one reason only: in the final moment of the final confrontation, I can’t tell him to his face what he is—the game doesn’t let me.

So here’s hoping the final confrontation isn’t as disappointing when siding with SysDef. 🤞🏻
