Cory Weeds - Dig Weeds!
For the 2nd release on Cohearent, Kevin Grey reached out to Cory Weeds, the Canadian sax player. Weeds put together a quartet with David Hazeltine (piano), Neal Miner (bass) and Byron Landham (drums).
Joe Harley, the Tone Poet himself, produced, and it's a great sounding collection of tunes, in classic Hard Bop style.

My musical discovery for 2024 is someone I had never heard until a couple months ago: #CoryWeeds . He's an exciting find for me — not only for his own playing, but also for the record label he runs which issues work by many other wonderful artists, lots of whom are also new-to-me. There is such a wealth of good #music to be discovered here!
