Flux now has ignore rules, a way to allow certain parts of your deployment to drift while everything else is continuously reconciled. This gives us much more flexibility in how we use external factors like controllers and operators with our deployments.

I find it weird that even with the #GitOps principles written so many years ago, people still don't understand what GitOps is. Every time there is a webinar about GitOps from one of the usual suspects, they will most definitively screw up when defining GitOps.
