The purples have already popped up in our #CrocusLawn, far ahead of last year. This is the magic time where both yellow and purple overlap. Yellows are first and purples come about halfway through yellow bloom.
Seems a fair amount of blooms didn’t make it with last Friday’s snow, though. More energy for next year!

Oh, wow! Our Crocus Lawn is already blooming here in the Kansas City ‘burbs. This yellow chrysanthus variety is our earliest. Two more to go, including the wildly popular tommies.

Wowzers. Our #CrocusLawn is really coming in. 🤩 So far I’m only seeing #CrocusRomance. We should also expect to see Ruby Giant and Tommasinianus (tommies)

Last autumn we planted ~500 crocus bulbs in our lawn. They aren’t native, but they are early to rise. And as such are sure to bring us, and the #pollinators great joy as winter fades.
Finally we’re seeing some signs of life. C’mon #Spring! 😍
