More specifically, I thought about how magical it is that many #chefs and #cooks and plain old folx can carve a #chicken or #turkey and have it come out as beautiful, even slices of white #meat, and lovely whole #drumsticks or wings, or what-have-you.
Because when I carve a bird, it looks like I did it with a #chainsaw. Or possibly a #lawnmower.
[1] Yes, it's ~6 weeks earlier than USA Thanksgiving. For much of Canada, the only harvest we could be grateful for in #November is #snow.

Spade connectors! Either they're so loose they slide right off on their own or so tight you struggle to shove them on with a pair of pliers. Then you bend them a little and they switch to whatever the other state is.
TIL learnt their proper name is FASTON. FASTOFF more like 😛
Had to put a new one in this old Italian chainsaw. The wire broke and the stop switch stopped working :)
They're quite popular on boats too, which, like chainsaws, is very stupid, because they are very bad at dealing with vibrations. That ring terminal is much more reliable (but the wire still broke, it's what I fixed last time).
