Get Smart marathon this weekend on OTA TV on the Catchy Comedy sub-channel. This kind of thing is why I put so much effort into the Frankentenna.
Mel Brooks is so subtly brilliant here. Every "serious" scene is played almost for real, but just barely over-acted so as to keep the audience in on the joke. It walks the line masterfully.
