Over 70% of eligible party members cast their vote. Those are huge numbers. I’m impressed.

Just seen a CTV News segment about people lining up to sign the unconstitutional separation petition.
Of course they talked to various Common people in the small towns to get their reasons for it.
Some gems:- we have no representation, never have!
- the East won't give us our pipeline, they don't respect oil and gas
- we will finally be able to make our own decisions
- in covid, THEY closed my store, now there's a Canadian Tire down the road.
They were able to find people who sounded rather hick. Older, or younger and gave the general vibe of congenital degradation or prior blunt force trauma to some key cognitive equipment.
Yes, turns out if you always vote for the same party NO MATTER WHAT, they don't have to represent you at all. They have what they want already.
Turns out, the O&G Corp's funny want the pipeline either, but the UCP convinced you otherwise.
Angry goose asks: What decisions‽ Oh yeah, racist ones and the like I'm sure.

Rallies don't vote. Polls don't vote either.
Its hard to look at the Conservative platform and think any working class Canadian would get ahead with those policies. There is nothing that addresses the affordability crisis. Lowering income tax doesn't change how much corporations charge for things. Allowing private corporations to set up shop for resource extraction doesn't make the average Canadian any wealthier or have access to good quality services like healthcare. Commodity housing doesn't become less of a commodity because the first $1m of the asking price is tax free. Homelessness, drug abuse, mental health crises, these things aren't fixed with harsh and stern policing. The list goes on.
Austere policies are only put in place to keep powerful people powerful. The issues facing Canadians are systemic and neither major party seems to want to address the root cause of the problems.

CW: Canadian Politics: Imminent Fall Federal Election
TL;DR Fall election here we go!
(Disclaimer: all of this is my view of the situation from the outside)
Keeping the NDP-Liberal supply-and-demand deal risks (for the NDP and Conservatives) the predicted improvement of the economy, thus another potential Liberal minority.
Cutting the deal before 2025 pretty much ensures a Conservative majority win. A landslide win.
Neither outcome is good for the NDP, but surely sticking is better optics?
I personally don't support any of those three parties but would prefer a minority government of any configuration to a super majority Conservative one.
