  1. Now that the explosions of yellow are about done from the kōwhai trees, it's time for natural fireworks from our tī kōuka NZ cabbage trees.

    Like kōwhai, it's shaping up to be a big flowering year for tī kōuka. This is popular with the bees, and will be later with the kererū when there's lots of fruit.

  2. @aligorith @zeborah I hadn't noticed the smell either. I'll need to get closer and try. Meanwhile, you can eat the roots and shoots.
