Bought a #UGOOS UR02 #remote for no particular reason to control my #Onn 4K pro box. Here it is next to the original remote. Verrrry similar, both feel amazing in the hand - FAR better than the #AppleTV remote. Some diff buttons. Light grey ones are IR programmable. Everything else can be reprogrammed with #ButtonMapper or #tvQuickActions Pro. Got it for just over a buck from #AliExpress as it was a first-time purchaser deal. Could have gotten any of a billion other things. Oh well.

Ahora solo me queda ver como puedo configurar los botones del mando para que los botones tipo "XiaomiTV" o "YouTube" me sirvan de acceso directo a otras aplicaciones (como #Jellyfin o #SmartTube). He probado #ButtonMapper, pero esa opción es de pago, y la única alternativa que he encontrado, #KeyMapper, no parece furular bien para #AndroidTV.

Tried to improve the user experience on my ancient 2016 Sony Bravia Android TV by installing Button Mapper, so that I could quickly launch the #GoogleTV input without the god awful laggy UI.

Well, #ButtonMapper immediately messed up the D-pad, so that navigating in any menus became impossible. 2h later, I've done a factory reset and am almost back to where I started.😅

So close to just picking up a Black Friday offer. Yet I simply hate the idea of creating #ewaste from a perfectly good screen.
