Google seems to be about to graduate from locking in consumers with massively subsidised or free tokens, to making its platform shittier for consumers to attract businesses.

This morning, american accent girl "serving" couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge existence:
Me: "Hello"
Her: "Flybuys?" [Turns back to her coworker and continues chatting with him]
Me: "No, Hello..."
Her: "Cash or Card?" [Turns back to her coworker and continues chatting with him]
Me: "Card"
Her: [Shoves card reader towards me while continuing chatting with her coworker]
Her: [Hands receipt to me while continuing chatting with her coworker]
I don't care if your worker has the "major hots" for the guy working next to her, when you're serving a customer acknowledge and serve them.

Nice one #Bunnings I put an order in this evening for 7 items to be delivered, completed the paypal checkout like usual and the bunnings page displays "error" right after, so now it seems the payment has come out of my account but bunnings system has no record of the sale as their database "chucked a spaz" right when my payment was going through.. Lucrative little error that one, free cash for the corporation without having to supply the goods as their account accepts my payment happily while saying "what sale?"...
Needless to say I'll be following up till I get every dollar back.
Why do this to customers? Hire someone who knows how to code a back-end properly FFS. 😡

I'll say this for #Bunnings #Parafield, they knew I had a bad back and offered to come collect the defective cooler to take back, they came 30mins ago & collected it from me in 39c heat, and sent me a full refund just now.

DONT even go there.. 👎👎👎
Doesn't cool at all even in optimal humidity range & following the instructions to the letter. It's a $109 high-watt fan basically.
You'd be far better off spending $19 for a kmart box fan (which has a bigger fan & uses 40 less watts) and a misting spray bottle to spray yourself with every once in a while.
So if you were thinking of getting one of these for summer, just don't.

Huzzah! The missing "third parcel" of the order - that Bunnings bizarrely split into 3 separate parcels for no known reason and sent through two different courier services - has arrived.. Now time for some Paracetamol.

Geez #Bunnings really sh!ts me. I ordered a small evaporative cooler, white & black stickers, powerpoint plugs & 2x extension cords. For some bizarre reason they decided to split this into THREE parcels (even though ALL in stock at Parafield store), 2x parcels were sent via AP & I got those, the third has gone missing with 'Zoom2U' (no idea why they used two completely different couriers for one order), bizarre conduct & no way on their site to lodge a missing item enquiry..

CW: Bit of a rant about #Bunnings
@GossiTheDog Agreed but there are exceptions. Our beloved #Bunnings here in Australia (equivalent to Home Depot in the US or B&Q in the UK) has over the last few years filled its stores with <30 yo mostly female workers who generally haven't a clue about anything in a workshop, building site, or garden. Almost without exception they dive onto the Bunnings website when you ask them if they sell this or that. Often they haven't ever heard of the product they are selling.
OK #Wesfarmers have the best intentions but you cannot acquire a working knowledge of hardware products and tools overnight. A good hardware staff member can also offer advice on how to do things too. There are also so many obscure trade names for things.
It must be a bit crushing for these girls to be unable to answer hundreds of questions every day.
Why don't they hire people (of all ages and genders) who have been tradies or gardeners, or at least decorated their house. -
Emailing the absolute fuck out of bunnings because I just saw a customer get *American-Karen* levels of aggressive with a worker, and he remained incredibly polite and helpful towards her. I know she's going to complain, so I'm emailing the store, customer support, and the corporate office to counter it.
Like, this woman was screeching across the store at him to help her, while he was talking to me. And when I said "oh wow" to him and laughed a tiny bit, she started screaming "that's right, laugh!" at me.
It was literally the level of unhinged verbal aggression you see in viral videos from the US of white women losing their shit and throwing a tantrum.
ma'am, this is a bunnings.. calm down.
