  1. A map style rarely looks the way you expect once it's rendering your own data in your own city.

We have a tool that shows our styles live across London, Berlin, Denver, and New Zealand, so you can see the real thing before choosing. Explore it here, then try your own for 14 days, no credit card needed.

  3. Adding a map to a Vue 3 app? Vue Leaflet gives you a tile layer component that fits naturally into your template. Zoom, center, and markers are reactive props tied to your Vue state. We provide the basemap tiles. Localhost works without a key. Free tier for production.

  5. If you build on OpenStreetMap data, you already know how much time gets lost configuring styles and tiles by hand before you've shipped a single pixel.

Our Build-a-Map tool walks you through styles, tiles, and output formats (interactive or static) and hands you ready-to-use code.

  7. Most geocoding APIs are proprietary black boxes: data captured during periodic drive-bys, errors that can persist for years, no mechanism to fix them.

    We take a different approach:

    • Continuous open data streams, refreshed at least monthly
    • Fix-it URLs in API responses pointing to open, editable datasets
    • Open-source address templates for local formatting conventions
    • Multilingual search across all data layers

    @ianthetechie explains.

  9. Monthly request caps are fine for getting started, but they are not a real evaluation. You cannot test at actual production scale with a few thousand requests a day.

Our 14-day trial gives you Stadia Maps Professional, our biggest plan, from day one: map tiles, geocoding, routing, search, and static maps at full production limits.

    No credit card required.

  11. Google removed the HeatmapLayer from its Maps JavaScript API in May 2026. No migration path, no replacement, just a "low customer usage" message.

MapLibre GL JS has a better native heatmap: zoom-responsive, data-driven, open source, and not subject to anyone's product roadmap.

We helped a team migrate. It was simpler than they expected.

Here's what broke and how to fix it.

  13. Our Routing APIs cover more ground than just turn-by-turn. It includes optimized routing for multi-stop problems, map matching to snap GPS traces to road geometry, a time and distance matrix for dispatch-scale queries, isochrones for reachability analysis, and elevation data.

Profiles cover cars, bikes, pedestrians, trucks, and scooters. Traffic-influenced routing is available for 80+ countries. OSM data updates weekly.

  19. We fixed a class of water rendering artifacts in our Interactive Basemaps.

The root cause was that our pipeline was mixing Natural Earth (low zoom) with OSM-derived data at higher zooms. Those datasets don't always agree, and the handoff seam caused visual inconsistencies.

The fix was a single OSM-derived dataset from Overture Maps across all zoom levels. No seam, no artifacts.
