Well that is disturbing. The results of this year's #BugsMatter survey are in, and show a continued decline in flying insect populations in the UK.
Down by 59% since 2021. Now I'm no insect ecologist, but that sounds like a scarily large decline to me.

Results from the 2022 #BugsMatter survey released today - the news is not good.
The data suggests that for the 2nd year running we have recorded potentially catastrophic declines in the abundance of flying insects in the UK.
