BeetBear & I are done harvesting what was left of the storm-damaged okra & have now taken up the remains of the plants. They had gotten quite large, so it was a project & involved my garden fork, some orchard loppers, and secateurs.We know from experience that the okra stems are almost impossible to put through our shredder due to their gumminess AND tough fibers, so we turned the cut stems in to a makeshift bug hotel at the top of the garden.
