Heute zw. Sonnenuntergang und Abendessen noch #rausgeschafft. 27.85 "Freizeit" km fürs #Frostpendeln und 156hm bei um 0℃.
Bin mit dem #BromptonElectricGLine auf höchster Stufe und die ganze Zeit mit Licht und ca. 25 km/h gefahren, weil ich nach Frage von @KlausGerdGiesen neugierig war, wie lange der #BromptonElectric Akku bei Wintertemperaturen hält. Am Ende waren noch 20% Ladung im Akku. 30km wären damit wohl drin gewesen, 35km eher nicht mehr.

Und mit dem wieder eher nassen Heimweg wurden dann die ersten 2500km mit dem #BromptonElectricGLine nach ca. 10 Monaten voll.
Allerdings scheint die #BromptonElectric Äpp nicht wirklich den prozentualen Anteil zwischen zwei Meilensteinen anzuzeigen, sondern einfach immer den gleichen Punkt dazwischen. So liegt der Punkt für meine 2501km näher an dem 3500km Meilenstein als an dem für 2500km. 🙄 Wie billig.
Zum Glück braucht man die Äpp nicht zum Radeln. 😅

Follow-up question: how safe are the guarded bike parking garages at train stations in the #Netherlands? Normally, I wouldn’t leave a #Brompton outside, leave alone a #BromptonElectric.

Nach dem Abendessen mit den Eltern noch #rausgeschafft und 'ne kleine 5km-Runde mit dem momentan #Brompton Not So #ElectricGLine 🙄 gedreht.
Problem ist schon wieder und jetzt mehr denn je der Kontakt des Akkus zum Fahrrad. Der funktioniert jetzt fast nur noch, wenn ich mit dem Daumen kräftig oben auf den Akku (und nicht den Taschenrahmen) drücke. 😖

One downside of any #BromptonElectric is though that their (non-essential) Android app (and likely the iOS app as well) insists on an online account registration (why?!?) even if the phone has no internet access. #WTF?
Also contains two known Google trackers: https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/reports/com.brompton/latest/
Then again it's probably not worth using as it has an impressively bad average rating of 1.6 of 5 stars in the Google Play Store (according to the Aurora store frontend a few days ago as I remember it).

Finally, #NewBikeDay for real! Today I fetched my new 20" #Brompton Electric #GLine at #Velofix (and left my so far daily driver, a 16" H6RD, there for a set of new rims, so today was no trailer needed).
I brought a leftover mount for my Garmin GPS and the #EerderMetaal #SeatPostHugger so that I could mount my GPS and my standard (non-electric) Brompton bag on the #ElectricGLine despite the different front block.

First add-on: A Croozer trailer hitch for my Croozer Cargo as currently there are no other front bags than the tiny default one available for the #BromptonElectric G-Line in Switzerland. (In some countries they are available, but seemingly still rare.)

War heute bei schönstem #Frostpendeln-Wetter (+15℃ 🤪) das #BromptonElectric G-Line beim #Velofix proberadeln. Kam trotz der nur 4 eng beieinander liegenden Gänge deutlich besser u. weiter von der Schmiede Wiedikon zum Friedhof Uetliberg rauf als mit dem normalen #BromptonGLine mit Alfine-8-Gang-Schaltung u. wesentlich größeren Spreizung. *habenwill* Evtl. kann man ja das mit'm anderen Ritzelset noch optimieren.
War danach noch mit meinem klassischen #Brompton einkaufen.

Taking my #Brompton and my #BromptonElectric to the "bike doctor" today to make sure they're fully ready for the start of my cycling season (which could conceivably happen anytime, but will likely happen sometime in March). And let me tell you, it is NO FUN to carry two folded Bromptons, one in each hand, to a taxi and then from the idling taxi to the door of the shop! They're absolutely tiny, lithe, and convenient and all that, but folded they're still like dead weights somehow.

A5: I have a #BromptonElectric as my only ebike, so this might be only applicable to that, but I've honestly never even given it a second thought. -
The battery is definitely starting to lose a little bit of its range but I've yet to run out of juice on a ride. I'm also using the bike more and more as an acoustic Brompton, engaging the battery only on the hills/windy days. #ebike #BromptonElectric

@xtaran There are three bag options for the #BromptonElectric now! Not as many as for the regular #Brompton, of course, but I recently got one of the bigger ones for my Electric (check the linked thread) and I LOVE it. (Mine is the Basket Bag; there's also an option that's more like your C-Bag.)

@IPEdmonton: Actually, one of the reasons I'm reluctant to decide on a #BromptonElectric is that I likely won't have such a big front bag anymore then. https://ch.brompton.com/shop/bags?category=electric&size=l-20+l&stock=0 actually only shows a single option I choose. (It shows a second, seemingly larger bag, but it's neither selectable nor clickable.)

@senta_wolfsberg Ganz einfach, #bromptonelectric kann überall mit rein. Ist leicht und gut händelbar. Alle anderen „kleinen“ eBikes sind „nur“ klein und trotzdem sehr schwer und fahren sich eher suboptimal.

@Cryptomon: Also laut meinem Händler hat #Brompton beim #BromptonElectric Lieferschwierigkeiten. Und auf der Webseite wurden neulich durchaus auch noch normale Brommies in deutlich peppigeren Farben angeboten. Beides kurz vor Ostern gewesen.

Frage mich, ob sowas auch noch nachträglich was bringt. Würde mir es aber auf jeden Fall kaufen, wenn ich nochmal ein neues #Brompton kaufen würde. (Und ich liebäugle grade mit dem #BromptonElectric. 😇)
