While the #Britsh #canals have much to recommend them, when you have the open spaces of the #Norfolk #Broads on your #doorstep it's hard to say which are best.

I like to think I can balance the various diffrrences fairly as we are lucky enough to have a small #canal #workers #cottage that fronts the #Bridgewater #Canal at #PrestonBrook where we plan to keep our #canoe after our house move.

How very #britsh. Recently visited all the memorials and cemeteries in Normandy as part of the up coming 80th anniversary of the #dday landings. All had free parking, except….. The British Normandy Memorial. We do love a parking charge. #dday2024
