What age were gold medalist Daniel Wiffen and bronze medalist Mona McSharry when Ireland's first Olympic-sized pool opened?

The most amazing result of the #Paris2024 #Olympics I’ve seen so far is the Men’s 100m breaststroke final. All 8 finalists finished within 1s of each other and the next 2 after the winner finished at the same time 0.02s behind at 59.05s. They awarded both the silver and no bronze was given.
It was the first time I saw two flags (GBR 🇬🇧 and USA 🇺🇸) being raised at the 2nd place with the 3rd place empty, and the 2 athletes stood together at the silver podium.

I had a great idea yesterday that it might be because I mostly use #breaststroke and I should try #frontcrawl so my hand would be out of the water half of the time. Tried it today and it helped a little. I got a #GPS lock few times but most of the time, I was without a signal anyway even though I tried to swim slowly so I would have my watch in the air longer.

Swam my first sub-30m for 750m #Breaststroke today! Did it in 26 minutes. 30 minutes is generally the cutoff for a disqualifier for that distance so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to finish the race somewhere in September. 😎
Today has an additional 25km bike and probably a 5KM walk so I'll have a "real" taste what it's like, albeit with a break or two in between.
