Broke down and filled the Ridiculous Water Feature and New House Saloon the last few days, cleaning between fills and trying to keep an eye out for sick birds. So far rewarded with delightful birdsong and very fastidious birbs. I also added some shiny rocks. Because ambiance is important. #BreakfastTableBirdwatching

I keep apologizing to the birbs for not filling the feeder because of the avain flu outbreak. I miss #BreakfastTableBirdwatching but I would rather help keep the population healthy.

The Ridiculous Water Feature and New House Saloon is back to being filled regularly (I always ease off the feeders in summer because of the natural bounty, but once fall migration hits, it's on!) and the #JuncoArmy is noticing. #BreakfastTableBirdwatching #BackyardHabitat

Are pigeons the gangsters of the bird world? Or starlings? Mobs of each discovered my Ridiculous Water Feature and New House Saloon this week, to the dismay of all the other birds. I am trying to figure what to do about it, other than squab recipes. #BreakfastTableBirdwatching

If I used my #insomniaspiration thoughts as a to do list for today, by the end of the day I would have created a balinese style floral offering from grocery store flowers, revived and replanted the #HalfPanHerbGarden, gotten a massage, made soda bread, cooked a brisket, made a root veg gratin and sticky toffee pudding, collected rocks for my rockery and done some #BreakfastTableBirdwatching. Note that none of that is "pay bills" or "get ahead on some work projects". #ProductivityBrainwashing
