Did you know that every year people in Iceland celebrate Jolabokaflod on Christmas Eve? The tradition dates back to World War Two when paper was one of the few things not being rationed, and the name translates to “Christmas Book Flood.”

Books are given as gifts, and people spend time cozying up reading while drinking hot cocoa. If you think that sounds good, I agree and think it should be something everyone takes part in!

If you’d like to create your own Jolabokaflod and are thinking about books as last minute gifts, you can find mine on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B00PQXCCHU) and all other book retailers, and if you're local to Sudbury, Ontario, I can even meet you and provide signed copies!

Books make great festive gifts! Nothing better than snuggling under a blanket with a good book at this time of year (in the North of our planet, anyway!).

These are my books about women in Somerset for adults and kids.

How do you keep warm in the colder months?
