WTF?! I’m going to reread Jane Eyre—why is this book banned? Did someone catch a random kissing scene in a movie and panic, thinking, “My kid ain’t reading that smut!” I can’t think of anything in the book that justifies a ban.
Murders on the Rue Morgue scared the 💩 out of me as a kid—maybe that’s banned too.

Anyway, I've read some of the books he's banned, and as someone who spent 33 years working with child sexual abuse victims and survivors, I can state without hesitation or equivocation that not one of them grooms kids or promotes trafficking. Most, if not neutral on the subject, are preventive, healing, or both.

That was December 2023. This week Sarasota County voted her replacements in and Bridget Ziegler leaves the board on November 17.
