I was quite shocked that one square of toilet paper takes three litres of water to produce. If I were going for an alternative to toilet paper I'd prefer the Japanese style toilets.

There's PFAS (the forever chemicals) in most toilet paper. It probably comes via lubricants in the manufacturing process which prevent paper pulp from sticking to machinery. I wonder how the NZ product compares?

I've always assumed it is but I realise that not everyone in the world would be familiar with bog roll so maybe it isn't.
