Post-meeting road jam on a pleasant Monday evening; the third major rock concert I ever saw (the first being Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers with second The Kinks) in the spring of 1983 was Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. They played for four friggen hours and when they launched into this one as one of the encore numbers, the crowd - including an 18 year-old me - went absolutely nuts.

I watched this flick last night for the first time in awhile - I’d forgotten the Brad Pitt character (Cliff Booth) was cruising home in that ‘68 Cadillac Coupe de Ville with this tune among those on the car’s radio.
