When Did You First Get Interested In Technology?
I was very interested in technology from the day I was aware of it. My classroom had an Apple IIe, and I played Oregon Trail every free moment I had. At home, we had a Macintosh Plus, and I’d play a golf game often, but I can’t remember what it was called. By the time we had a Performa at home, it had some sort of rudimentary Internet where we could see what books were available at the city’s library. Maybe it wasn’t exactly the Internet. I was too young to know. Maybe it wasn’t even connected to anything, but the idea of being able to know what the library had without going to the library really stuck with me.
In short, I was primed to be excited about Apple and the Internet from a very young age.
What’s Your Favourite Piece Of Technology All-Time?
The Internet has changed everything. It has dramatically opened up access to both knowledge and communication. You can learn new things with a simple search, you can communicate instantly with people who are whole continents away, and you can do all of that at any time from a small rectangle in your hand.
What’s Your Favourite Piece Of Technology Right Now?
Right now, my iPhone 16 is my favorite piece of technology. Since the iPhone launched, the ability to have access to a functional Internet on the go was, and continues to be, an absolutely game-changer.
Name One New Cool Piece Of Technology We’ll Have In 25 Years!
I assume there will be an iPhone 41 by then, but maybe perhaps something like the concept of the Vision Pro in a far less obstructive and far more convenient package would be even cooler.
Final Thoughts.
This was a fun trip down memory lane. In hindsight, I can see exactly why I’m obsessed with Apple products, the Internet, and technology in general.

I started blogging to have a more personal outlet rather than the tech news site I was contributing to at the time.
What Platform Are You Using to Manage Your Blog, and Why Do You Use It?
I use WordPress and I have contributed to WordPress for over twenty years.
Have You Blogged on Other Platforms Before?
Yes! I started this blog on Movable Type, but that lasted only a few months. Once I saw WordPress 1.2 twenty years ago, I knew it was time to move to what was very clearly the future of blogging.
How Do You Write Your Posts?
I write my posts in the WordPress Dashboard when I’m at my computer and in the Jetpack app when I’m on my iPhone.
When Do You Feel Most Inspired to Write?
There’s no specific time when I’m inspired to write. Last year, I started a new practice on this blog where I either add to an existing draft or write a new draft on this blog at least once a day. As soon as I feel that a particular draft is finished, I get ready to publish it.
Do You Normally Publish Immediately After Writing, or Do You Let It Simmer?
I almost never publish immediately, this one is an exception. 😉
I usually let a post sit overnight and re-read it the following morning before publishing it.
What’s Your Favorite Post on Your Blog?
Oh, that is a difficult one. I like all of my posts, or I wouldn’t have published them.
My favorite recent post is Noticing Things, but it might be more for the personal revelation itself rather than the post.
Any Future Plans for the Blog?
My future plans for this blog are quite simple: Continue blogging.
