Today I've finished #BlastBrigade if I had to compare it with food, it would be best described as a burger with some sour pickles from an earnest mom-and-pop restaurant.
While there are some annoying traits (the number of teleporting stations is a smudge too few) it was overall an enjoyable experience for those in the mood for a #metroidvania shooter that is neither hard nor easy (the most deaths I had with a boss was 3), just right

Small nitpick I have, despite being a very colorful game, #BlastBrigade uses an unappealing gray bar to show the reloading time of your weapon, I feel like if it had system where the grayed out were slowing filling in it would have been a better choice, here's a quick and dirty mock-up of what I mean

Appreciated features in #BlastBrigade is that it shows both the areas you haven't found yet with little yellow squares, and it differentiates areas in which you have collected all possible items with the ones where you haven't by saturating the colour of the former and graying the colour of the latter, it makes backtracking and exploration much more pleasant

It's been awhile since I played a #metroidvania ,so I thought there would be no better time than to play one with some comedic tones, enter #BlastBrigade which goes for a Saturday style cartoon that has gained a lot of popularity in these years.
So far the gameplay is your run-of-the-mill Metroidvania, but there are some good joke nuggets
