Ya tenemos final de la #RugbyWorldCup femenina. El próximo sábado Canadá e Inglaterra se jugarán el cetro mundial.
En la primera semifinal, las canadienses se deshicieron de Nueva Zelanda con autoridad (34-19) jugando a un nivel excelente. No es tan sorpresivo como pareciera, pues el equipo norteamericano (que ha tenido que hacer un crowdfunding para viajar al Mundial) ya habían adelantado a las #BlackFerns este año en el ranking y venían fortísimas.
En la otra semifinal, Francia hizo todo lo que pudo ante la apisonadora inglesa, les plantó cara en la primera parte, pero finalmente pasaron por encima (35-17). Inglaterra aumenta su récord de victorias consecutivas (32), algo jamás alcanzado por ninguna selección masculina ni femenina.
#Rugby de gran altura en todo el campeonato, y tanto la final absoluta como la de consolación prometen seguir dando el espectáculo. -
WTF was wrong with the #BlackFerns? #Canada far outclassed them in just about every part of the game. Anyway, after watching that excellent Lady Rugby I am now going to watch some Manly Rugby - #ManlySeaEagles against the Dolphins from a coupla weeks back.

The match was action packed though mostly one-sided with the #BlackFerns dominating after an impressive initial try by #Japan. It’s not worth trying to capture the action in a mobile phone photograph but here are the teams during a #Scrum.

#NewZealand's women’s #RugbyTeam is know as the #BlackFerns and they have their own version of the #Haka which is ceremonially performed prior to each international match. It’s impressive to see live.

Got up at 4.15am (NZ time)to watch the Black Ferns play Spain in their opening WRWC match.
Both teams walk onto the pitch smiling. They all look excited about what's ahead.
Think they could teach their AllBlack bros how to enjoy a spectacle in front of a full stadium of supporters.

So proud of the Black Ferns winning back-to-back gold medals this morning. They are sensational athletes, world-class rugby players, and some of the finest people you could ever hope to meet. The New Zealand national rugby team, aka the Black Ferns, played a terrific game of open rugby against an admittedly weak Welsh side last night in Ōtepoti. One of my all-time favourite rugby players, Ruby Tui, who I have an entirely appropriate man-crush on, scored four tries. What a player and what a team. Highlights below.
