Chris King steht da ziemlich weit oben. Seit nun 50 Jahren stellen sie in Portland Fahrradkomponenten her, die schön sind und auch noch sehr gut funktionieren. Die neue Farbe „Matte Gold“ ist ein echter Hinkucker.

@goto Ein 20 Jahre altes Focus blue ridge "Crossbike" (Mischung aus Trekkingrad und Mountainbike oder so). Für 400 Euro vom ersten Azubigehalt gekauft.
Vor ein paar Jahren mit neuer Gabel versehen. Dabei gleich von Gewinde- auf Aheadsteuersatz gewechselt. Anderes Zeugs wurde vermutlich auch irgendwann getauscht.
Ist bis 2021 mein einziges Rad für alles gewesen. Dann kaum noch benutzt. Seit ca. einem Jahr dauerhaft auf der Rolle. Ist noch verkehrstauglich.

New bike day! Introducing Wilier Filante SLR limited edition! Hand painted by Lumar Colors based out of Venice, Italy. All major components sourced by bike-room based out of Milan. What a stunner!

I finally own a top range race bike, with the top range groupset (SRAM Red) and lightweight everything. Carbon fiber integrated handlebar, carbon fiber 3D printed saddle, carbon seatpost and zipp 454 NSW wheelset.

The end result is amazing: it weighs 7.2kg which is 1.6kg lighter than my Pinarello Prince, which is also a carbon frame bike. And it's more aero!

And it cost at least $2000 less than sourcing and building it here in the US. The catch is: FedEx hasn't billed me the tariff yet...

New bike day!! Introducing Standert Triebwerk!

It has been over a month in the making, and it turned out fantastic. Maybe even better than I've imagined. I handpicked all the components and parts, and Zach at Back In Action Bikes did a fabulous job building it for me. He hated me for picking a white bar tape because he had to wash his hands 5 times during the build. 🤣

I kinda dig the look of 1x crankset. Looks very clean and neat. This bike has a steel frame, but I slammed all carbon and titanium components on it. So it is only 200 grams heavier than my Pinarello. It rides so smooth. Just cruises along. Not as responsive though. Kinda like driving a CVT vs a PDK.

Boston is really a beautiful city, providing a perfect backdrop for my bike ;)

I'm sure I'll put a lot of miles on it!
