Er schreibt immer wieder besonders viel an Wochenenden und Feiertagen, ggf. einsam.
Und schadet damit selbstverständlich ebenso wie sein "Boss" Ben-Gvir massiv dem Ansehen der Republik Israel.
Immerhin gab und gibt es mutige Stimmen wie eine mutige Generalkonsulin, die ihm öffentlich widersprachen.

Sündenböcke im israelischen Wahlkampf

Dass Israel nun plötzlich zum Mord an Hind Rajab, zweieinhalb Jahre danach, ermittelt, ist genauso ein Wahlkampfmanöver wie die Distanzierung von Ben-Gvir durch Netanjahu und den Likud. Innerisraelische Medien kritisieren jetzt Aussagen von Ben-Gvir, die er so eigentlich fast jede Woche macht, während das Morden an Zivilisten weitergeht. Selbst die deutsche Presse und deutsche Politiker kritisieren inzwischen öffentlich Ben-Gvir dafür, dass er einen Genozid fordert, der schon seit Jahren läuft. Ben-Gvir ist nicht Israel, heißt es, während alle Zivilisten in Gaza immer Hamas sind. Der Unterschied: Ben-Gvir ist ein gewählter Vertreter, und für die Fortsetzung der Kämpfe in Gaza, für die er steht, sprachen sich zuletzt 57% der Israelis aus.
Bemerkenswert auch, dass sich die Kritik an ihm nicht gegen die Sache richtet. Sie richtet sich gegen den Schaden am Ansehen Israels in der Welt und an der Selbstwahrnehmung. Man wirft ihn den eigenen Wählern und der Weltöffentlichkeit vor, um ihm und seiner Partei zugunsten Netanjahus Likud zu schaden. Eines, das sich als das vernünftige Gegenmodell zu Smotrich und Ben-Gvir verkaufen will, kurz vor der Wahl. Ben-Gvir wird so zur Entlastungsfigur: Wer sich laut genug von ihm distanziert, kauft sich damit die eigene Unschuld zurück. Die Empörung über den einen ist der Ablasshandel für alle, die die Politik dahinter mittragen oder ihr zusehen.
Genau dasselbe bei den Ermittlungen zu Hind Rajab. Sie kommen nicht aus Einsicht und nicht aus Eingeständnis. Sie kommen, weil ein oscarnominierter Film die Geschichte wieder ins Gedächtnis gerufen hat und sich der brutale Mord an einem fünf Jahre alten Kind kaum mit einer Verteidigungsrhetorik rechtfertigen lässt.
Dass man nun mit eigenen Ermittlungen in die "Offensive" geht, soll der Weltöffentlichkeit, aber auch nach innen, Rechtsstaatlichkeit vorspielen und, genau wie beim Fall Ben-Gvir, uns Ausreißer, Einzelpersonen, als Sündenböcke präsentieren. Aber der Genozid ist keine Verwirrung ein paar "Hitzköpfe", wie Netanjahu es uns und den Israelis suggerieren möchte. Er war eine politische Entscheidung der Regierungskoalition, die die überwiegende Mehrheit der Israelis als gerechtfertigt erachtet hat.
Der Reflex von Medien und Politiker, nun Ben-Gvir zu verurteilen, demonstriert uns vor allem eins: das eigene schlechte Gewissen. Man weiß, was in Gaza passiert. Man wusste es die ganze Zeit. Ben-Gvir sagt seit Jahren, was er jetzt sagt, ohne dass es jemanden gestört hätte. Es stört erst jetzt, mitten im Wahlkampf.

Warum ermittelt der #ICC nicht gegen ihn - immerhin ist er geistiger #Brandstifter von #Siedler-Kriminalität, Mord, Diebstahl und Menschenrechtsverbrechen in Gaza und im Westjordanland.
Ben Gvir ist eine persona non grata, ein böser Mensch ohne Skrupel.
