Seit vielen Jahren werden meine Familie & ich massiv von B. Weinthal verleumdet, einem Anhänger des israelischen Rechtsextremisten Itamar Ben-Gvir. Dass wir Blumes eine christlich-islamische Familie sind & für die gleiche Menschenwürde aller einstehen, stört diese Leute sehr.
Auch Hunderte weitere - jüdische & nichtjüdische - Deutsche erhielten Hassmails von ihm, nicht wenige wurden auch über Mastodon angegriffen.
Selbstverständlich habe ich mich von diesem Hate niemals einschüchtern lassen - im Gegenteil. Mir ist ja klar, dass diese Hetzer nicht mich als Person meinen, sondern unser demokratisches Zusammenleben der Religionen.
Und wie gefährlich Ben-Gvir & seine Helfershelfer auch für Israel selbst sind, erkennen täglich mehr Menschen & Medien.
Mein Dank gilt allen von Euch, die Betroffenen medialer Gewalt beistehen & sich auch selbst nicht einschüchtern lassen. Menschenwürde & Demokratie, Dialog & Freiheit sind es wert.

Dopo l’intercettazione della “Global Sumud Flotilla”, dentro Israele è esplosa una guerra politica e istituzionale senza precedenti. Herzog parla di “imbarbarimento”, l’IDF scarica ogni responsabilità sulla macchina repressiva controllata da Ben-Gvir, mentre le cancellerie occidentali fingono improvvisamente stupore davanti a pratiche che i palestinesi denunciano da anni. Ma il problema non è soltanto Ben-Gvir. Il problema è un’intera classe politica israeliana che per anni ha costruito, protetto e normalizzato un sistema di occupazione, apartheid e violenza permanente.
A un certo punto persino il sistema ha iniziato ad avere paura della propria creatura.
È questo che sta accadendo dentro Israele dopo il caso della “Global Sumud Flotilla”. Non una semplice polemica politica. Non un incidente diplomatico isolato. Ma qualcosa di molto più profondo: una frattura interna che mostra al mondo intero la decomposizione morale e istituzionale prodotta da anni di radicalizzazione, violenza e impunità.
Tutto esplode quando il ministro della Sicurezza nazionale Itamar Ben-Gvir diffonde pubblicamente un video in cui deride gli attivisti ammanettati e detenuti nel porto di Ashdod dopo l’intercettazione della Flotilla. Immagini umilianti, aggressive, costruite come propaganda politica da esibire alla propria base suprematista.
Ed è lì che improvvisamente qualcosa si rompe anche dentro lo stesso establishment israeliano.
Isaac Herzog, presidente dello Stato di Israele, parla apertamente di “imbarbarimento”. Una parola enorme. Ma sarebbe ingenuo leggerla come un improvviso risveglio morale. Herzog non è un osservatore esterno del sistema israeliano. È parte integrante di quell’apparato politico e istituzionale che ha continuato a rappresentare e legittimare Israele davanti al mondo mentre Gaza veniva devastata.
Lo stesso Herzog, che nei mesi più cruenti del genocidio appariva pubblicamente mentre firmava ordigni destinati all’esercito israeliano, oggi tenta improvvisamente di prendere le distanze dagli eccessi di Ben-Gvir. Non per una reale rottura etica, ma perché il caso Flotilla rischia di produrre un danno diplomatico devastante davanti alle cancellerie occidentali e all’opinione pubblica internazionale.
La sua reazione appare quindi molto meno come una condanna morale e molto più come un disperato tentativo di salvare la reputazione internazionale di Israele mentre gli orrori diventano ormai troppo evidenti perfino per chi li ha giustificati per anni.
Ben-Gvir reagisce immediatamente attaccando Herzog e definendolo indegno. Rivendica la linea dura, continua a descrivere gli attivisti come “sostenitori del terrorismo” e trasforma ancora una volta la repressione in spettacolo politico.
Poi arriva il passaggio forse più inquietante di tutti: anche l’IDF prende le distanze.
L’esercito israeliano dichiara pubblicamente di non aver ordinato alcun abuso e scarica ogni responsabilità sulla polizia e sui servizi penitenziari controllati direttamente dal ministero di Ben-Gvir. In pratica, dentro lo Stato israeliano è iniziato un gigantesco rimbalzo di responsabilità.
Herzog accusa Ben-Gvir. – Ben-Gvir accusa Herzog. – L’IDF accusa il sistema penitenziario.
Tutti improvvisamente cercano di separarsi dall’orrore.
Ed è proprio qui che emerge la verità più scomoda: quando uno Stato inizia a dissociarsi da sé stesso significa che il livello di brutalità è diventato troppo evidente persino per chi lo ha tollerato, alimentato o coperto fino al giorno prima.
Ma il punto fondamentale è un altro: Ben-Gvir non è apparso dal nulla.
Non è un incidente imprevedibile. Non è una scheggia impazzita estranea al sistema israeliano.
È il prodotto politico più coerente di anni di occupazione, suprematismo coloniale, impunità internazionale e radicalizzazione interna costruita e normalizzata da gran parte della classe dirigente israeliana, da Netanyahu fino ai settori istituzionali che oggi fingono improvvisamente scandalo.
Per anni l’Occidente ha accettato tutto.
I bombardamenti su Gaza. Gli ospedali distrutti. Le fosse comuni. I civili affamati. I giornalisti uccisi. Le accuse di apartheid. Gli “atti plausibilmente genocidari” citati dalla Corte Internazionale di Giustizia.
Per anni il linguaggio occidentale è rimasto anestetizzato dentro formule diplomatiche: “diritto alla difesa”, “equilibrio”, “contesto complesso”.
Poi però arrivano gli attivisti occidentali della Flotilla. Arrivano le immagini mediaticamente spendibili. Arrivano gli europei umiliati davanti alle telecamere.
E improvvisamente le cancellerie ritrovano la voce.
Antonio Tajani chiede addirittura all’Unione Europea di valutare sanzioni contro Ben-Gvir. Gli stessi governi che fino a ieri continuavano a mantenere relazioni politiche, economiche e militari normali con Israele ora fingono di scoprire il problema.
Ma il rischio è enorme: trasformare Ben-Gvir nel “mostro perfetto” per salvare tutti gli altri.
Perché se il problema diventa soltanto Ben-Gvir, allora Netanyahu può continuare a fingersi uno statista moderato invece che il capo politico di un governo responsabile della devastazione di Gaza. Herzog può recitare il ruolo del garante morale dopo aver rappresentato lo stesso sistema davanti al mondo. L’Europa può fingere di non avere responsabilità. E l’intero sistema internazionale può continuare a lavarsi le mani davanti al genocidio palestinese.
Francesca Albanese lo ha spiegato con chiarezza: la violenza israeliana non dipende da una singola figura politica, ma da una struttura di occupazione e apartheid consolidata nel tempo.
È questo il punto che il teatro delle sanzioni rischia continuamente di nascondere.
Perché Ben-Gvir è certamente una figura estremista e pericolosa. Ma il problema non nasce con lui e non finirà con lui.
Il problema è un’intera architettura politica e militare che ha normalizzato l’umiliazione dei palestinesi, la repressione permanente e la disumanizzazione dell’altro fino al punto in cui persino dentro Israele iniziano ormai a parlarsi addosso usando parole come “imbarbarimento”.
E forse è proprio questo il dettaglio più devastante di tutta la vicenda: il fatto che oggi lo Stato israeliano sembri improvvisamente scandalizzato da metodi che i palestinesi denunciano da decenni davanti a un mondo che per troppo tempo ha scelto di non guardare.
