The 2023 #Carmans and #BCNA’s Fun Run was held today with over 3,000 registered participants attending.

The event hub was held at #ElsternwickPark, #Australia.

People have been fundraising for months leading up to the event, to support the important work of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) – Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation – which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

We stayed til the very end with the announcement that a net profit (as at early arvo) had well exceeded anticipated goals of $200k - and rising!

What an effort #melbourne!!

The pre and post event activities included everything from post-run massages, fun activities for the kids and loads of giveaways.

One of the cool things was watching the kids (and some adults!!) creating super giant-bubbles, as pictured by my great mate @Witchy_Minx, who participated with yours truly, today.

Participated the #Carmans and #BCNA’s Fun Run today with my dear bud @Witchy_Minx who won her second battle of breast cancer recently. It was a great day. Full of reflection, memory/reminiscence and triumph.

Picture is of the #FieldofWomen at #ElstewickPark, a moving display of Rememberance.

Girls, check your boobs and go get a mammogram if you’ve left it awhile. I acknowledge it’s not a fun experience. Early detection is the key.

Guys, pls check too. There were a number of men (in black) represented in the field today. We’re not immune from this torrid disease.
