Random post. When I was a kid the BBC had what used to be known as Station 5XX right next to me. 2 million watts of shortwave radio and you couldn’t escape it. Anything that was electrical could pick it up. Every evening in the late 80’s / early 90’s you’d hear the BBC German start up and the first program would be “Weltnachrichten” which basically translates as “the news” I guess. That theme tune used to scare the s**t outta me. It’s lost its dramatic effect here but takes me way back. Would love to hear the original again so I can scare the s**t out of myself for old times sake. #BBCDaventry #bbcgermanservice #5XX #weltnachrichten
