IMO The app is bullying me by groundlessly and abusively suspending my account, without me violating any conditions, which ruins my romantic and dating life and causes toxic loneliness which, according to research, has as bad health effect as smoking 18 cigarettes a day. I was communicating respectfully and didn’t send any sexual pictures. Before, the app IMO bullied and harrassed me by wrongful blocking and accusations: I don’t spam and just write introductory messages about my interests (nothing sexual, no sexual pictures) and suddenly a red banner appears at the top of the screen falsely accusing me “Error: you are marked a spammer” and messages stop working, I can’t even read incoming messages (censorship) or communicate with other people. The app is IMO hypocritical because it’s the app which is IMO spamming with adverts, not me.

HB 2880: #Banning #protest encampments on campus
Would bar protest encampments on the campuses of state colleges and universities without prior authorization. Under the bill, individuals or groups that establish an unauthorized “encampment” would no longer be lawfully present on campus for the purpose of speech protections under Arizona law; they would be criminally liable to prosecution for trespass and damaging public property; and they would be liable for “direct and indirect costs” of any damage “that resulted from the individual’s intentional or negligent conduct relating” to the encampment. The bill defines “#encampment” as “temporary shelter” installed on campus and used to stay overnight or “for a prolonged period of time.” The bill would require colleges and universities to order individuals to dismantle and vacate unauthorized encampments; if the individuals refuse to comply, the institution would be required to take disciplinary action and report the individuals to local law enforcement for trespassing. The bill's sponsor said that it was motivated by #ProPalestine protests on college campuses.

HB 2007: Harsh penalties for protesters who conceal their identity
**Note: HB 2007 was signed into law following amendments that removed the most restrictive provisions.** As originally introduced in the House, the bill made it a felony to wear any kind of #disguise at a protest. The introduced bill broadly prohibited disguises, "whether partial or complete," that an individual wore at a protest, political event, or any other public event in order "to evade or escape discovery, recognition or identification." Under the introduced bill, police would have had authority to detain any individual wearing a disguise in order to verify his or her identity and determine if the person had committed a crime; violation of the disguise ban would have been a Class 6 felony, subject to one year in prison. The sponsor of the bill said it was inspired by clashes between police and protesters, some of whom were masked, outside a 2017 rally for President #Trump. Following widespread criticism, the bill was comprehensively revised to a single provision that would allow courts to consider it an aggravating factor, for sentencing purposes, if an individual wore a #mask or other disguise to hide their face while committing a criminal offense.

It was four years ago, everything was pretty normal, or as normal as normal could be on Twitter (or, at least, nearer to the end of Twitter’s life, before it became an X). Maybe some people followed and watched Dr. Disrespect. Maybe some synthwave creators who fancied themselves part of some obscure, secret boys club, were in his Discord building an exclusive playlist. And maybe some people hated him for his abrasive, sometimes homophobic or transphobic words, and actions.
And maybe some people remember his first ban, which came after he filmed within a bathroom at TwitchCon.
The second ban came in 2020, with nothing but an enormous amount of secrecy, that erupted literal conspiracy theories about what actually happened.
After a day of silence, Disrespect has made only a brief statement on Twitter, saying that Twitch has not notified him of any reasoning behind the ban. In the days since he was banned, speculation has run rampant throughout social media, but there has been no official word or credible leaks about why this ban happened.
Twitch has yet to specify a reason or speak about Disrespect specifically. The company’s only statement has been a vague update regarding community guidelines and terms of service:
“As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”

And now, four years later, we finally know why he was banned.
Dr. Disrespect exchanged inappropriate messages with a minor via Twitch’s own software.
Just after publishing the above piece, Dr. Disrespect issued a lengthy statement, admitting to inappropriate messages with a minor, though he denies that it involved anything illegal and pushes back against accusations that he is a predator.
“Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017?” Beahm writes. “ The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more.

I’m not sure why it took this long for word to finally come out. Maybe Guy, or Twitch, thought the heat would die down enough that it wouldn’t kick up so much dust.
But, I think they were wrong.
Obviously, Beahm is a predator, despicable. And I’m willing to bet what he details happened is probably the light beer version of what really happened.
The bigger question, I think, is why did Twitch keep this a secret, and why did they pay him?
Twitch had these details, they knew what happened, and they kept it under wraps for four years. A website that’s supposed to be rock solid, open to all, safe. … kept a secret about a prominent streamer contacting a minor, inappropriately, on their own website.

I think Twitch kinda fucked up here. I mean, maybe they were wrapped up in all this legality that Beahm keeps talking about, but you WOULD THINK, maybe … They’d come out and be like, “Yeah, he did this. That’s why we banned him.” You know, four years ago. I don’t know, maybe there’s more to it than that, but if I were in-charge, I don’t think I’d keep secrets for the man.
