Today was finally time to harvest our potatoes! We got 15kg this year. Not bad. Maybe next season we will try some fancy potatoes again 😁

#backyardchicken foxes has taken 9 of my chicken. just now took my best rooster... all that's left is 7 birds - 5 ga h'mong, 1 paduan (infertile hen), and a hybrid rooster (who's mean and I was going to remove...) 😔😔

The brooder has been washed (on the inside) with dawn and I've got the warmer plugged in. I'll check the temp of the box when I get home tonight.
I'm using a ceramic heat element in a reflecive porcelain sockets light fixtures.
The purpose of the metal grate is to keep cats out not chicks in. Once the chicks can have closer to normal temps they get moved to a wire cage.
