AWS WAF out-of-the-box CAPTCHA had an important caveat—it doesn’t provide protection against an event using a token that is solved and distributed across a network of machines behind multiple IPs. To prevent this class of event, AWS WAF users need to identify CAPTCHA tokens that are being used from multiple IPs and automatically block this traffic.
