#atrociousbehavior — Public Fediverse posts

There is apparently some kind of arcane fuckery occurring with F-Droid. Details are here: https://mastodon.pirateparty.be/@surfhosting/115674236291033568 I can't really be arsed to sort out all the drama right now, so I've uninstalled the app from my phone for the time being until all settles down.

An interesting few observations on this:

1. Unwarranted self-righteousness and self-importance leads to #fedidrama .

2. This is not at all a product of the #Fediverse , but of humans having to deal with other humans - often without direct contact or visual cues.

3. This is, in a funny way, why #billionaires and their brand of capitalism are such a poor phenomenon: because when they get this impulse to loudly toot their own horn, they back it up with money. That doesn't make what they do right, it just makes it loud, and more of a matter for the many innocent people out there to have to deal with.

4. This is really a matter of socialization...being mature enough to deal with a world where you can (and should) exercise autonomy while still realizing that others around you have a right to theirs, and that it is of mutual benefit to all to know where their nose is in relation to your swinging fist.
