1980 Belgium pressingDefinitely one of the strangest records in my library, and one that’s certainly not for the average general music listener.
The personnel here features a healthy portion of the “Art Bears” crowd; Fred Frith, Chris Cutler, and Marc Hollander.
This is some demented and deeply experimental art rock; wide ranging in its vibe from classical, to Zappa, to French pop.
I’m happy to have an original press of this, as those who are familiar with it and love it had been clammering for a reissue of it for years, until Crammed Discs did one in 2018.If you’re into weird shit, you’ll love it.
If you’re not, it’s going to be very difficult making it through to the second song.

More #FredFrith, tonight. Some marvelous bits including a lengthy performance of the original #SkeletonCrew lineup of #Frith and Tom Cora. I was fortunate to have seen one of their gigs at Northwestern around '83 if I recall correctly. The show had a lasting impact and permanent influence. Being introduced to #ArtBears, Frith and the whole #RalphRecords catalogue at a young age really expanded my musical palate.
