Better than nothing? We should demand more...

It was recently brought to my attention that Utah has a policy in place to arm teachers. Below is an interesting article outlining the pros and cons of that policy.
"There is no perfect solution but it is undeniable that change must happen. We cannot continue to have our children killed in schools through mass shootings. Perhaps arming teachers is better than nothing, but should we do more? I believe that the family, friends and community of the 19 children and two teachers killed in Texas last week would argue yes."

I don't have the answers but I do know that our leaders have been failing us. The current hodge podge of state laws does little to address the crisis. All suggestions should be on the table and not denied for the same old arguments we have been hearing for decades. For the record, I am NOT in favor of arming teachers.
