Apple support is not bad at all. They are mostly nice and seriously trying to help you out. Competence milage may vary of course. The issue often is, once standard measures don't solve the issue, while it escalates to e.g. engineering, often the issue at a certain time goes into a void and users are no longer in the loop. For not easy to resolve problems, that likely means hopefully a rdar is created. Great but that database is not public and rdar IDs are not giving to users.

And while I understand why that is, I don't like this policy.

One example: I requested being able to remove stage manager form control center a long time ago when it was first forced into my view. I have no need for that feature as I am using a more power-user oriented window management system. Finally in macOS 26 Apple introduced the option to remove stage manager from control center. But I had to find out myself, which is not great.

Currently having an issue with a passkeys for my Apple ID and the issue is confusing and unresolved. I am very curious how this will play out. Received a callback from Apple but there was no new information. And now I am irritated why the callback was setup in the first place. I was just waiting 30 minutes (callback was late). I am fine to wait, but then give me something. If I wait over 30 minutes and you come up with nothing, I am not a happy camper.

Interesting experience with Apple Support:
Folder Action Services (which are built into macOS) have started misbehaving for me. Pretty sure this started with the 15.5 update. Anyway, if you call about this sort of thing they tell you (since it involves Automator... another thing built into the OS) to report the issue and get help through developer services.

Frankly, that seems odd, since this is a (power) user facing feature.
