The Trump administration has notified Congress of new arms deals worth billions of dollars for Israel and several (Persian) Gulf countries, with the State Department invoking “emergency authority” to bypass the standard congressional review process.
The package includes the sale of 10,000 Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) rounds to #Israel, valued at nearly $992 million. Similar #APKWS systems were also approved for #Qatar and the #UAE.
Additional deals include a $2.5 billion Integrated Battle Command System for Kuwait and over $4 billion to replenish Patriot missile systems for Qatar.

#Germany sent #Ukraine mobile rocket launchers #APKWS . The delivery of 20 units was announced in August last year. The time elapsed from announcement to handover was necessary for the manufacture of these machines and, obviously, the training of Ukrainian operators.
During this time, the machines passed additional tests in November, during which the APKWS demonstrated 100% efficiency – only five missiles were required to hit five targets.
