Curious about asexuality? 🤔

I’m currently watching a crash course in psychology on Curiosity Stream

(It’s good, though it has a very fast-paced, even frenetic, delivery – and having seen at least two factual errors so far, I’m not sure I’d want to trust the bits I don’t know so much about)

Anyway, in episode 27, on sex, the presenter says:

> ‘But our sexual desire is also fuelled by internal stimuli. Our imaginations and memories and fantasies. According to plenty of studies, at least 95% of people fantasise about sex at some point’

I am fairly certain I have never fantasised about sex

And I think of myself as asexual (though that’s complicated by my current lack of libido)

Is there a connection between fantasising about sex and being sexually attracted to people, I wonder

Or is it just that I’m aphantasic and therefore perhaps unable to fantasise appropriately?
