  11. Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has announced £1.9m in funding for seven active travel projects across Northern #Ireland. These initiatives aim to promote sustainable transport like walking, cycling, and wheeling, enhancing community wellbeing and the environment. The funding, part of the "Foundations for a Better Future" initiative, supports schemes in Mid-Ulster, #Belfast, #Newry, #Mourne and Down, and #Antrim and #Newtownabbey. It will improve infrastructure, introduce e-bikes, and develop greenways. The funding will be allocated over the 2024/25 and 2025/26 financial years, with projects subject to public expenditure processes before final approval.
