HBC BRIGADES, JOURNAL OF AN EXPEDITION, SUMMER 1847:
"At the present stage of water it would be difficult, if not impossible, to cross horses without constructing a bridge. Breadth of stream about 40 feet. Pass over the interjacent tongue of land & reach the Southern branch of the Stream #AndersonRiver These 2 branches unite a little below.
