In about 45 minutes my wife and I will board an A train in uptown Manhattan and travel to City Hall, at the bottom of the island, where a noonday rally of #SeniorsForZohran will be held.

I just set up a self-hosted instance of Wallabag and transfered over 3000 articles originally saved to Pocket. Reviewing them, I came across this nine year old article, which I forgot I'd saved. It is more urgently relevant now that I'm 71 -- and the world has taken the turns it has. My wife and I are going to talk about it with our kids.

For the second day running I peed my pants while on a walk through the park.
This confirms my suspicion that I have to ignore the money-saving tip that tells me that Rxs are efficacious beyond their expiration dates...and start taking meds that have not yet expired. -

I seem to have been spending a lot of time, over the last few weeks, trying to make sure that I remain on friendly terms with my mortality.
It's not that I feel my death is imminent.

Morning walk south, through Fort Tryon Park. I usually ascend the steep hill on the west side of the park, for the great views of the Hudson River, but today I chose to give my knees a rest and stick to the eastern edge, which hugs Broadway.

I'm OMW downtown to discuss with my gastroenterologist what last year's endoscopy and my recent SIBO breath test tell us about the state of my gut biome.

I was freaked out when, decades ago, I first read **1984**.
But now that,
in my twilight years,
the powers-that-be have figured out how to roll out Big Brother in gradual, easily digestible doses...
well, this is fine.
It's not so bad.
It's not like I did much with my privacy when I had it.

We employed a one-person SWAT team (me) to neutralize the stink bug...or at least banish it from our borders.
The *weapon* was an especially sturdy fly-swatter with a sturdy swatting surface.
The *tactic* was to insert it behind the window and manage to get it high enough to pry the bug from the screen, then to lift the screen and dump the bug into the alley below... -
