I see that TEA has published their annual "Accountability Ratings." This is effectively a ranking of the relative income of school districts in the state of Texas that allows them to give some districts a failing grade for being poor.

(As seen in the chart below, the percentage of students that don't need reduced lunch strongly predicts a district's TEA "accountability" rating).

The Austin Independent School District has an *impressive* performing arts center. This morning’s event was a music memory contest for elementary school kids, who had to guess the song and composer from short snippets played by the Austin Civic Orchestra.
