Off to #AireCon this weekend - not sure if we'll manage to get ourselves into any games, or any playtesting, need to work out what still has spaces. Looking forward to it :)

I played a game of "Skyjo" with my son this evening - it was a fairly cheap card game we'd had recommended to us at #AireCon last month. It's a pretty simple game but it was a lot of fun to play. Apparently you can play it with up to 8 players so I'd be interested to see how it works with a bigger group.
I might bring it along to our next office games meet-up...

I’m absolutely zonked 🥱 & home from a weekend of #BoardGames at #Airecon - played with 11 different people not counting the ~20 player megagame of Nmbr9.
Nice to finally learn Apiary. Faraway is the new game I really wanted a copy of but it was all sold out. Skull was epic - won after losing my skull in the first round. Fish & Katz wins the cutest board game component award plus made us laugh the most! Also pleased with getting out of the Forbidden Jungle at the first (novice) attempt.

It’s @BGStatsApp day! 32 plays of 20 games is more than I expected. March is usually a good month but this year it didn’t seem like we got through as many games at #AireCon as we usually do, but most of them were pretty good.
I’m continuing enjoying playing through #WelcomeToTheMoon and #Everdell is a new fave.
And at the other end I need to remember that I rarely enjoy the likes of #Secrets and #CockroachPoker - bluffing is not my thing!

We enjoyed #Orichalcum at #AireCon this morning, though I don’t think I’d ever have managed to recall the name of it I hadn’t noticed it was a Bruno Cathala design so I had something to search on. Bags of components, nice ones, rules and gameplay were pretty straightforward but reasonably strategic. Suspect it’d probably be better at 3 or 4 players though.
And we rounded off a weekend of #BoardGames with a couple of rounds of #Sagrada but I forgot to take a pic of the lovely dice windows.

#Framework - a good Uwe Rosenberg game I’d never heard of but was a nice puzzle, I got thrashed.
#AFewAcresOfSnow - a deck builder that is a few years old but still good. War games aren’t really my thing, and I got thrashed again but enjoyed the game.
#LunaCapital building a city on the moon 🌙 totally my thing - I liked trying to lay it out nicely but it seemed to end a bit prematurely. Won this one though!

A good first day of #AireCon starting with getting here safely on a snowy day!
We got to play #Everdell at last which we loved, it seemed very slow at first but quickly accelerated. The teen had all the resources coming in but I got the most points 😃 Definitely one we want to play again.
Other hits were #InTheFootstepsOfDarwin and #WaggleDance.

February wasn’t the best gaming month and I didn’t manage to fill the 3x3 grid even but it was perfectly pleasant and I have no complaints. My top two #WelcomeToTheMoon and #Clever4Ever were both new to me. Loving them both.
March should be much busier as it includes the #AireCon board game con. One of the highlights of my year. 🎉 🎲 🃏
