Der Entwickler der #MixingStation #App diskutierte mit mir mein Problem mit dem MIDI Controller innerhalb weniger Messages und weniger Stunden und hier ist offenbar der Kern meines Problems:

Kurzum, nicht er hat seine App kaputtgemacht, sondern #Apple hat #IOS kaputtgemacht, weswegen ich nun mehrere hundert Euro schwere externe Hardware nicht mehr nutzen kann.

Zwar hat Apple das Problem in späteren Versionen von IOS wieder gelöst, aber mein #iPad #Air2 ist damit nicht mehr kompatibel, ich muss es also entsorgen und neu kaufen, allein wegen eines Softwarefehlers.

Ich habe jedoch Glück. Das ebenfalls verfügbare Ipad #Air1 hat noch IOS 12.5.7 und damit tut MIDI noch.

Auf dem Air1 laufen außerdem auch Software-Synthesizer besser, da es weniger Performance für neueres OS und fettere Grafik braucht.

Aber wenn das Ding verreckt, ist Android dran als Ersatz.
