My #AIB card reader is so old the digits are illegible and the battery, of course, can't be replaced. I'm moving most of my banking to a fintech, because why wouldn't you? Had to phone AIB to get them to cancel the SO, they wanted to charge me a fiver for a new card reader as it'd be my 2nd one...🙄

It seems quietly, and without any fuss, #AIB Bank has reduced the threshold on it's Online Saver account.
It used to pay interest at 3% on ever-increasing amounts, reaching a limit of €12000 on 13th May (paying 0.25% on amounts in excess.)
Looked today, and the threshold is now a measly €1,000.
If I look at my account online, it says the threshold was reduced on 13th June. If I look at my account on the #AIB app, it doesn't list any such reduction. 🤔

If anyone is an AIB customer, their app is currently borked - so no online purchases, no payment apps (such as Revolut) will work. AIB are investigating "intermittent technical difficulty" experienced by some customers, apparently.
